![]() ![]() ![]() WaveCorrector has a feature that detects clicks where the two channels of a stereo recording of a mono disc differ. I have had a previous request for mixing down to mono. Providing a real-time declick preview would / will require some rather delicate internal work, but I agree it should be done and I plan to have a crack at it soon. But I can still see that there is a lot of mileage in making the two programs behave similarly. You can also drag the edges of the selection, which I find very handy, and you can click on a feature and zoom-in keeping it centered in the display, which CE (much to my frustration) does not do. Apart from the above, it lets you click anywhere in the display to position the cursor while keeping the selection intact, which CoolEdit (as far as I can tell) cannot do. I'm not doing myself justice here, I realise. ![]() It is, as you say, different from just about any other audio editor in existence. But maybe that's just me and maybe I should review it. To address your points, the shift-click business is because I felt that it is otherwise too easy to lose your selection just by clicking. The dog writes most of the code of course. I'm more interested in hearing what you have to say - and building some kind of presence here - than making money at this stage (although money is always nice ). If anyone does give it a go, I'd be grateful if you would post your feedback - good or bad - back to this thread. It really does make the job easy, if you can live within its current limitations.
